Objective:
Serve as event partner to Harpo Productions for the 25th and final season of The Oprah Winfrey Show. Conceptualize and produce unique, unforgettable programs.
Solutions:
- In 2010, EA partnered with Tourism Australia to execute Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure for 302 fans. The two-week excursion was filmed and featured in four memorable show episodes, which included two tapings at the 6,000-seat Sydney Opera House.
- Tourism Australia stated the value of the coverage had been worth more than AUD $17 million, with more than 12,000 media stories written and broadcast in Australia alone.
- In 2011, EA created a celebratory “wrap party” for the Harpo Productions staff at the Harris Theatre rooftop where the guests relived the last 25 years of the show with its host, Ms. Oprah Winfrey.
- LED screens throughout the space projected looping videos of The Oprah Winfrey Show through the years – incorporating environmental décor with meaningful nostalgia.
- Finally, during the tapings of Oprah’s Surprise Spectacular at the United Center, EA managed all travel logistics and onsite coordination for 300 Morehouse Men.
- In an emotional moment, the students and alumni surprised Ms. Winfrey onstage with a performance from Kristin Chenoweth. After the segment aired, Oprah tweeted, “Morehouse Men best moment ever for me.”
